Monday, July 29

CFPUA Easement Approval Group meets at 9 a.m. at 235 Government Center Dr. An agenda was not posted by press.

Tuesday, July 30

The City of Southport’s Board of Adjustment will meet at 4:30 p.m. at the Indian Trail Meeting Hall, 113 W. Moore Street. The agenda includes: 

• Appeal of a Zoning Violation (1010 Bussell’s Turn)
• Special Use Permit (Bed and Breakfast, 209 E. Moore Street)
• Special Use Permit (Accessory Dwelling Unit, 244 E. 11^th Street)

The New Hanover County Board of Education will hold an agenda review at 2 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are live streamed here. The agenda includes: 

• Information on illegal use of cell phones and cell phone bags 
• New Hanover High School
• Task force committee

 Wednesday, July 31 

The Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization will meet at 3 p.m. in conference room 1238 on the 12th floor of the Skyline Center, 929 N. Front St. The meeting will be live streamed here. The agenda includes: 

• Opening of a 14-day public comment period for the WMPO’s Local Input Point Assignment for Regional Impact Tier projects 
• WMPO’s Priorities for Existing Committed Projects

The North Carolina Ports Finance Committee meets at 3 p.m.  in the Board Room of the North Carolina Maritime Building located at 2202 Burnett Blvd. Members of the public may join in person; an agenda was not posted by press. 

Thursday, Aug. 1 

The Town of Oak Island’s Environmental Advisory Committee will meet at 8:00 a.m. in the Ocean Education Center at 4700 E. Oak Island Drive, Suite C. in Oak Island. An agenda was not posted by press. 

The Brunswick County Substance Use, Addiction, & Mental Health Commission will meet at 5 p.m. in the boardroom of the Health Services building (Building A) at 25 Court House Drive in Bolivia. An agenda was not posted by press.  

The Town of North Topsail Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m at Town Hall, 2008 Loggerhead Court. An agenda was not posted by press.

The UNCW Board of Trustees will begin their committee meetings at 10 a.m. and the entire board will meet at 3 p.m. in UNCW’s Nixon Annex, 720 Hamilton Drive. The agendas includes:

• Enrollment update
• Housing update

The New Hanover County Commissioners will hold an agenda review at 4 p.m. in conference room 138-139 of the NHC Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. An agenda was not posted by press. 

The New Hanover County Planning Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the NHC Courthouse, 24 N. Third St. Meetings are live streamed here. The agenda includes:

• Rezoning  request for 6760 Carolina Beach Road from the
• R-15 residential district to a conditional R-5, residential moderate-high density district for four new single family detached dwelling units.
• Rezoning request for 5000 N. College Road from the (CZD) CB, conditional community business district to (CZD) B-2, regional business for general retail sales, business service center, and other limited uses
• Text Amendment Request (TA24-04)- Request by Cindee Wolf with Design Solutions, applicant, to amend Article 4 of the Unified Development Ordinance to allow the use of Restaurant by-right in the O&I, office and institutional district with a limitation on the maximum square footage of the use

Pender County Technical Review Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the Pender County Assembly Room, 9 a.m. The agenda includes multiple projects including commercial mixed use space in Scotts Hill, a residential project on 62 acres at 1911 Sloop Point Road, and a conditional rezoning to add 84 units to Hawthorne at Headwaters. Friday, Aug. 2

The Town of Oak Island Par 3 Golf Advisory Committee will meet at 1:00 p.m. at the Oak Island Par 3 Golf, 4188 Vanessa Drive in Oak Island. An agenda was not posted by press.
