Search underway for attempted kidnapping suspect in Lexington

LEXINGTON, N.C. — Lexington police say a search is underway for an attempted kidnapping suspect. 

Police said they were called to Booker Avenue on late Monday afternoon. According to a release, the caller reported that her daughter and cousin were walking around the neighborhood when a man tried to grab her daughter. 

Police said the man was driving a white truck and no one was hurt. They’re asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 336-243-2400.
