PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — After a nice, warmer day, temperatures will fall into the 40s by 6 PM. Skies remain mostly clear overnight which means temperatures will fall to near-freezing by Christmas morning.
Mostly sunny skies to start off Christmas Day and temperatures will warm into the low 40s by 10 AM. By noon, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds and afternoon highs reach the low 50s.

Mostly cloudy skies on Friday with the low chance for a stray shower by the evening hours. The chance of rain Friday is less than 20%. Temperatures will be in the low 40s in the morning and highs will reach the upper 40s.
Mostly cloudy skies stick around for the weekend and rain chances remain in place for a few days due to a series of low-pressure systems moving through the area. We’ll start Saturday off in the upper 30s and afternoon highs reach the mid 50s. Showers will be possible with a 30% chance for rain.
