A 20-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators have released 911 calls from the shooting that took place in the parking lot of Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro on Friday.

The calls come from both the victim, as well as workers inside the mall.

The Greensboro Police Department said someone shot a 20-year-old man in the parking lot near the Dillard’s. The man, who told police he was visiting from Winston-Salem, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Moments after being shot, the man called 911 to report the incident.

“Ma’am, I just got shot,” he told the dispatcher. “I just got shot … Please … I need to go the hospital right now … please.”

While this all played out, people inside the mall also began to panic. One worker called 911, confused and concerned about what was going on.

“I still have my staff and customers in my locked down area but I’m just trying to figure out if it’s safe everywhere,” they said. “Like, what’s going on?”

Another worker called to say they had closed the gates to their store. Dispatch responded, saying they’d send someone into the mall when the scene outside was clear.
