CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities have identified a woman found dead along a Cabarrus County highway and arrested a man in connection with her death.
Dade was reported missing by her family in Orange County, Florida on Nov. 2. Investigators say she was known to be with her boyfriend Jacques Hans-Jerome when she was reported missing.Â
Hans-Jerome and Dade were traveling on his long-haul truck driving route at the time of her death. Court records say Dade’s body was found in trash bags and discarded near a bridge.Â
Hans-Jerome was arrested on Thursday and charged with unlawful concealment of death. Authorities say he has addresses in Jacksonville, Florida and Concord, N.C.Â
He is being held at the Cabarrus County jail with a $1 million bond. His next court date is Dec. 12.
