PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — There is a Freeze Warning in effect until 9 a.m. today.
Temperatures are at or below freezing across the Piedmont. After this advisory expires, winds will begin to increase. We will have sustained winds between 15 and 20 mph today with partly cloudy skies. Highs are going to only squeak up to the upper-40s this afternoon.
Tonight, conditions stay breezy until around midnight, then we’re going to have lighter winds, partly cloudy skies, and lows in the upper-30s overnight.
Over the weekend, conditions are going to improve dramatically. Saturday will be breezy with scattered clouds, and highs in the mid-50s. We will have sunny skies by Sunday with highs returning to the lower-60’s!
As the Thanksgiving week begins, temperatures stay very mild, in the mid-60s Monday and Tuesday.Â
Partly cloudy skies are expected for those two days, though a cold front will come through Tuesday afternoon, bringing a 25% chance of showers.Â
This cold front is also bringing cooler temperatures to the Piedmont on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs staying in the mid-50s. Thanksgiving Day is looking wet, with a 70% chance of rain.
