Thursday’s workout was completed with a weighted vest, similar to watch Simpson wore while on duty. The workout consisted of seven rounds (July), running 1 mile (date) and 24 push-ups (year). The officers recognized Simpson’s code number of 3776 with 37 sit-ups and 76 squats.Â
Members of CMPD held a workout in honor of fallen CMPD K-9 Officer Brent Simpson at the Academy this morning. The challenging workout was held in his honor and represented his end of watch on July 1, 2024, and CMPD code number. The workout was completed with a weighted vest.
