GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 16-year-old was arrested for shooting and killing a man on Central Avenue in Greensboro on Thursday, Jan. 2, according to the Greensboro Police Department.
The teen has been arrested for first-degree murder.
On Thursday, police said they and Greensboro Fire and Guilford County EMS Â responded to the 3800 block of Central Avenue just before 5 p.m.Â
Officers found Darius Marquis Knight-Anderson, 24, in the front yard with injuries consistent with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said life-saving efforts were initiated, but, Knight-Anderson died at the scene.
Officers said detectives and forensic investigators responded to investigate/process the scene and this incident is being investigated as a homicide.
