Sunny skies and unseasonably hot temperatures return to the forecast today as highs reach the mid-90s.  With the humidity factored in, temperatures will feel like they’re approaching 100°.

Don’t forget your sunscreen today, as the UV index continues to hover near 9 out of 11.

Clear skies are ahead for the overnight hours, and lows will settle in the lower-70s.

Thursday looks quite familiar, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid-90s.  Isolated showers are possible, and the chance of rain is 25%.

An approaching cold front gives rain chances a boost each afternoon Friday through Sunday.  The front is forecast to slowly cross the Piedmont early Sunday.

High temperatures are going to gradually cool down modestly, reaching the upper-80s Friday and Saturday, then mid-80s Sunday.

Labor Day is looking great, with partly cloudy skies and just a slim 20% chance of a shower or thunderstorm.  Highs will stay in the mid-80s.

Much cooler, cloudier weather is on the way for Tuesday, as a second cold front barrels through the state.  Highs are forecast to squeak up to 76°, and even with cloudy skies, the chance of rain will remain low.
