CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously hurt after a shooting in northeast Charlotte late Tuesday night.
A WCNC Charlotte crew saw a large police presence at the Comfort Suites University hotel location on University City Boulevard near North Tryon Street.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police later confirmed two people were inside a vehicle when two suspects fired a gun at the vehicle. One person was injured, the other person was not hurt.
Medic said that person was taken to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.
It’s not yet clear what led up to the shooting. CMPD has not released information about any suspects.
