Police said the crash is still under investigation.
THOMASVILLE, N.C. — One person is dead after a pedestrian was hit in a vehicle crash, according to the Thomasville Police Department.
On Jan. 3 around 8:45 p.m., police responded to the crash at the intersection of Trinity Street and Mason Way.
A 2013 GMC Acadia was traveling west on Trinity Street as it came to the intersection with Mason Way. Police said a pedestrian was walking west on Trinity Street at the same time and was struck while in the roadway.
Uniqa Mona Robinson, 30, of Thomasville, was the pedestrian and was taken to the Thomasville Medical Center. Police said Robinson later died from her injuries.
Lydia Hedrick, 39, of Reidsville, was the driver of the vehicle. Hedrick was uninjured and remained at the scene, according to police.
The crash is still under investigation.
